SYNOPSIS
The single parcel delivery woman Dora lives a secluded life in a Leipzig prefabricated concrete building and copes with her life with dry humor. Unexpectedly, she has to harbor her Polish neighbor Jola at her place. The dazzling Polish woman, who is accused of a crime, faces immediate deportation.
Dora, who initially helps her only reluctantly and out of necessity, develops a strong fascination for her involuntary guest. Increasingly trapped in her feelings and the repressed conflicts of the past, she does everything she can to keep Jola with her. When she learns that the allegations against Jola have fallen through, she lies to her and dramatizes the state of the investigation. But Jola, becoming more and more desperate, finds out about her lie…
