Zum Inhalt
Naïve and ready for any risk, the citizens of Säßlen love their way through their “Aufschwung Ost” (Eastern economic recovery) and almost manage to grasp it in the end. There are Micha Resser and Sylvia Kubicek. They have dreams of a life together – children, at least a car and a big house. They say they love each other. But Micha is cheating on Sylvia with Kerstin, and Sylvia is cheating on Micha with Ade Banjo. He is Black, goes by the name “Blondie” and scores so many goals for the Säßlen soccer club that he makes the town and its people famous far beyond the borders of Brandenburg.
This gives Sylvia’s father Rolf, who is currently in a professional slump whose effects can even be felt in the marital bed, a great idea – merchandise. Suddenly things are looking up for him. However, that is no reason for his wife Bärbel to end her secret affair with the school principal. Micha’s parents, Otto and Inge, don’t have such problems. Otto is the most influential building contractor in town and president of the soccer club. His uncompromising nature, his assertiveness and his creative accounting are the foundation for the town’s sporting and economic recovery. But Otto’s creativity becomes a matter for the court, and his Inge, the only faithful woman in town, is left weeping. Then there is Sylvia’s brother Benny and his buddy Timo. They drink beer, smoke, talk about girls and occasionally try to score with one. Which doesn’t quite work out at first…
