SYNOPSIS

Shortly before his 50th birthday, Jürgen Kotschie falls into a deep hole and experiences a severe, sentimental crisis of meaning. His preliminary life balance is impressive: a family, a large house, a good job… and yet Kotschie suddenly questions everything. Somehow, things just aren’t running smoothly anymore. The madness of everyday life is getting to him. And then there’s the physical decline: weight gain, hot flashes, shortness of breath – male menopause, he really ought to be worried…

Instead, Kotschie gets more and more worked up about it. The fact that his former lover Carmen Schöne repeatedly appears to him in his dreams doesn’t make it any easier for him to see his current life through different eyes.

Contrary to his nature, our hero acts rebelliously and attempts a breakout…
