THE CONSTELLATION

Ellen (25), a brash, Dutch online journalist, is commissioned by her editor-in-chief to write an article about a family constellation in the Harz region of Germany. Although Ellen is actually against it, she accepts the assignment for financial reasons and sets off for Germany together with her roommate, the photographer Roel (34). From the very beginning, there is something strange about the assignment and the journey. For many years, Ellen has been receiving anonymous calls from a young woman who introduces herself as Lena. She has never spoken to Lena in person, only ever receiving messages on her voicemail. Now she is receiving messages again – and to Ellen’s astonishment, the stranger knows something about her trip to Germany, as if she were watching Ellen…
