In March 2002 Jan Philip Lange, Anke Hartwig and Niklas Bäumer founded the JUNIFILM GmbH, which emerged from the Daisy Film GbR, which was formed in June 2001, as a student at the Film University Babelsberg "Konrad Wolf". By 2012, nine productions were created - from commercials to a children's series episode to feature films that won various festival awards. Already in the first productions - with directors such as Norbert Baumgarten, Franziska Meletzky, Matthias Luthardt and others - well-known actresses such as Axel Prahl, Florian Lukas, Dagmar Manzel, Jörg Schüttauf, Sebastian Urzendowsky, Stefan Kurt and many others participated.
In August 2018, the initiator of Junifilm, Jan Philip Lange, took over the company as the main shareholder and relocated the company headquarters to its home state of Lower Saxony. Here, where Langes Filmarbeit already began in 1989, JUNIFILM wants to establish itself as a producer of films of various genres.
Shareholders of Junifilm are also Nils Loof, author, director, producer and professor at the University of Applied Sciences Hannover (media, information and design), Cineteam Hannover GmbH, established in Lower Saxony for about 40 years, and the original co-founders Anke Hartwig and Niklas Bäumer.
Niedersachsen also offers good conditions for the production of fictional and non-fiction films - also through the regional film fund nordmedia and the broadcaster NDR. Especially in the fictional field Junifilm will develop and realize projects from Niedersachsen - of course also beyond national borders and for a national and international audience.
JUNIFILM relies on three pillars:
2. Coproductions, nationally and internationally
3. Production services for foreign producers and customers
