Jan Philip Lange

Managing Producer

From his first short film at the age of 14 to international TV and cinema productions, a passion for storytelling has always defined his path. After studying at the renowned Film University Babelsberg "Konrad Wolf," Jan Philip laid the foundation for his career as a producer in 2001 by founding JUNIFILM.

His extensive experience ranges from German TV classics like "Tatort" and "Die Sendung mit der Maus" (WDR) and primetime formats with Relevant Film and Tamtam Film to international series highlights such as "Sisi" (Season II). A two-year shift in perspective—serving as a managing director in the public transport sector—also sharpened his eye for clear structures and goal-oriented action.

Today, he leads JUNIFILM GmbH as Managing Partner and Producer. Driven by passion, entrepreneurial vision, and a strong network, he brings moving, compelling, and relevant stories to the screen.

Nils Loof

Director & Author

He studied Visual Communication with a specialization in film and television at the School of Art and Design Kassel (Kunsthochschule Kassel). While still a student, he founded his own production company and has since worked as a cinematographer, writer, and director for renowned broadcasters and productions, such as NDR and ZDF.

Nils has received numerous awards for his work, including the Lola, the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Short Film Prize, and a nomination for the Max Ophüls Prize. In addition to his practical work, he served on the board of the Film & Media Office of Lower Saxony (Film & Medienbüro Niedersachsen) starting in 2003. Since 2009, he has taught at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover—initially as an interim professor of Journalism and Public Relations, and since 2016 as a professor of Film Design in the Media Design department. He is a member of the German Film Academy.

Julia "Jules" Braun

Team Assistance & Junior Producer

Studied Cultural Mediation in Hildesheim, specializing in visual arts and literature. An interest in film led Jules to a feature film set for the first time in 2023. Since then, Jules has worked in various roles across film productions and film festivals. A graduate of the "JUMP ON" training program—supported by nordmedia—with a focus on production and assistant directing.
